Server

KEY-POS Server

At the heart of every good store is a retail management system. At the heart of your retail management system is your server. Thanks to the D3 Database, our servers do not require excessive or expensive components to outperform. Each KEY-POS server supports 99 users. Our KEY-POS servers are built on these three principals:

  • Generic hardware – No proprietary hardware is used. You can get parts for your server and any technician can work with your server without being specialty trained.
  • Expandability – We leave extra slots for RAM, add on cards, and plenty of room for other devices. This means you do not have to buy all new equipment should you expand
  • Reliability – The most important factor of any server is being reliable. We only use tried and tested components in our servers rather than the bleeding edge tech so that there are less bugs to work out. Using Raid 1, your system will not stop running because of a single hard drive failure.

TP-Link Wireless Access Point - $175

If the Wi-Fi at your store isn’t strong enough, a Wireless Access point is the solution. Being a dedicated device, Wireless Access Points work better than your typical wireless router or “gateway”. Dual bands can be used for customers and staff so that everyone can get connected safely. Networking equipment may be purchased to connect additional pre-existing equipment such as back office computers.

TP-Link Gigabit Network Switch - $30

Hooking up your network has never been easier. Gigabit network switches provide a simple solution that requires no extra software or configuration to keep your Point of Sale System up and communicating. Even if your internet goes down, your registers can still make sales. A gigabit switch and ethernet cables are provided with every server purchase.

TP-Link VPN Router - $180

Connectivity equals productivity. Using IPSec VPN routers, we can network up to 20 different stores or locations as if they were all in the same building. VPN routers allow for a simple and safe hardware-based connection over the internet to securely access information for your business. No need for extra software, logins, or passwords like traditional software based remote access programs. Our multistore locations use VPN to seamlessly transfer inventory, print documents for another store, and even share desktops across the internet. Some of our stores even use these VPN routers to access their work from home. *Applying for a static WAN IP address with your ISP is highly recommended for IPSec VPN connections.

Smart Power Battery Backup - $190 - $315

Battery Backups protect your equipment through surge protection and help prevent data loss due to brownouts. These will allow you to properly shut down your equipment during a power outage to keep your system up during the occasional power flicker. We offer two different powering ratings- 420VA at $190 and 650VA at $315 for your typical desktop needs.
